Welcome to your class blog! For your first post, please discuss the version of 'We Shall Overcome' you chose to listen to and describe it in the context of our reading of the song's history.

I didn't really realize how ridiculously powerful her voice could be until I watched the YouTube video.

She walks away from the microphone and belts out the last remaining notes about the same volume as when she was right up into the microphones.
In this version it appears that she is the sole performer. Her posture when belting is slumped as if she is in pain from belting. Pretty Neato.
